The travel bug has got me hooked again. It tingles under my skin and I get restless. I know: Even though it isn’t easy at the moment, I have to go – new experiences and discoveries await. I plan everything in detail and search for the right partner for my yearning: Qatar Airways. I’ve only ever had good experiences with the airline from Qatar; and I’m sure that isn’t about to change. Or no, actually it gets better, much better. Because this time, the journey is the destination, promising supreme comfort on board, luxurious relaxation in the lounges in Doha, delicious treats as an accompaniment and everything adorned with an attentive, dedicated service.
Qatar Airways Airbus A350-900: Business Class Flight Zurich – Doha
I’d hardly stepped onto the aircraft in Zurich when it was clear Business Class at Qatar Airways is anything but business as usual. The innovative, almost revolutionary concept 'Qsuite' has once again completely reinvented the design of the cabin – unique in this class. Seating areas for meetings or family groups form intimate rooms separated by doors for lots of privacy. Seats that can transform into completely flat beds guarantee maximum comfort and relaxation, and I’m already looking forward to the cosy soft blankets and amenity kit from BRIC with 100% natural care products. The entertainment system Oryx One has a wide range of programmes and even the internet, via the OnAir WiFi, is one of the many amenities on offer. They’ve thought about every detail: variable configuration of the suites, fine fabrics, USB connections, plenty of storage space... Everything is roomy and elegantly furnished. The cabin crew thoroughly spoil me and attend to my every wish. On board, I can immerse myself in the legendary Qatar hospitality. The cuisine on board is exquisite and inspiring with freshly prepared meals à la carte. The signature Arabic mezze are simply sublime. The quest for excellence runs through all aspects of the flight. They have thought of everything, nothing has been overlooked. This is Business Class with a First Class feeling. This flight is not just a journey; it’s an unforgettable, exclusive experience. After just six hours, I arrive at Hamad International Airport, rested and relaxed, where I am welcomed by the thoughtful and helpful Al Maha Service and guided to the lounges.
Qsuite: «First in Business»
A water stream rises majestically up into the impressively high arched ceiling and radiates the incomparably stylish atmosphere of the modern Arabian architecture. I am immediately captivated by the inspiring aura of the Al Safwa First Lounge. 'The most luxurious lounge experience ever', promises Qatar Airways, and I enjoy the unique experience in this oasis from sandstone and marble, art and culture. The spacious rooms are elegant, open and stylish: a welcoming and relaxing environment, pampering spa treatments for the senses and culinary indulgence à la carte in the premium restaurant, but also separate office areas for business use. Travellers are always at the centre of everything in the classy Al Mourjan Business Lounge as well. The service and the rest areas with showers feel to me like a 5-star hotel – I savour the exclusive ambience. The incomparably diverse and extremely high quality food catering on offer overwhelms me: continental or oriental brasserie, patisserie or bar, top-class service at the table or straight from the buffets? I enjoy my fillet of beef done to perfection and served with a variety of vegetables and a cuvée rosé champagne by Laurent-Perrier selected from the excellent range of wines, coffee specialities and soft drinks on offer. World-class, just like it was on board.
