Rose scents in the bathroom, soothing lavender in the bedroom, a visit to a spa resembles a trip to an alpine meadow. Rooms that are just like nature, that you can smell, see, feel and enjoy: these are what Tyrolean 'Buam' ('lads') Martin Jehart and Christoph Egger really care about. The founders and managing directors of Organoid make this dream come true with their natural, fragrant fleece wallpapers, panels and floor coverings. The raw materials – alpine hay and flower petals, tree lichen and moss, cocoa bean shells and coffee powder,... – are refined into natural surfaces in a natural and climate-positive way. This makes new experiences in the design of interiors possible.
Cheerful daisies, rare edelweiss – the Organoid collection spans a wide range from transparent-translucent fabrics dusted with delicate rose petals to luminous cornflower blue on flax fleece, and coffee powder as vegan leather, to skeleton leaves for ceilings, walls and floors. Loosely scattered hop leaves on golden paper, a relaxing herbal mix with St. John's wort or hand-pressed alpine hay from the highest mountain in the Tyrol, the Wildspitze – nature's possibilities are endless. Martin Jehart and Christoph Egger are passionate about the organic materials of their homeland in Austria’s Upper Inn Valley with their countless haptic, optical and olfactory experiences. They particularly like using organic and regional raw materials that cannot be recycled in conventional production. This creates beautiful upcycled laminate with spelt husks or lavender stalks, or soft fleece made from sheep's wool. The production process is carefully handcrafted and close to nature: the original materials are mixed with an ecological binding agent and pressed into thin layers on various substrates such as flax fleece, eco fleece, foil, laminate and boards. They are emission-free, allergy-tested, breathable, climate-regulating and harmless to health. The surfaces are untreated, but can be sealed on site with oils and varnishes to make them resistant, because the natural surfaces are suitable for floors, ceiling and wall coverings as well as furniture and accessory designs. In addition to the stock collection, individual custom-made products are also possible at any time, which are developed together with the customer. The rooms that are created with the Organoid products do not necessarily have to look like mountain chalets. Stylish interiors in reduced design also benefit from the unusual products and their sensual properties. No matter whether the entire interior or only individual details are 'organoid', whether a sea of fragrances is unfolded or a little something is lovingly decorated – since the connection to nature lies within all human beings, it gives them strength, creativity and relaxation. And the success – worldwide, no less – of the two friends proves that they and their nature-inspired idea are right: to combine respectful treatment of their environment with sustainable and authentic product development and production.
