The cup floats weightlessly through the nothingness of the given space, slowly revolving with silent lightness, effortlessly overcoming gravity. A trick? Not at all. It may seem to resemble outer space but is actually a sensational invention by Belgians Clément Kerstenne and Philippe Bougard. It may not come as a complete surprise that they have both previously performed as magicians and have been continually developing fascinating new tricks for themselves and their industry colleagues for 15 years. Thanks to the Gravity Display’s technology they are now causing a sensation all around the globe. And revealing a unique way to present valuable objects in a showroom: with a mise-en-scène of pure magic.
For a watch collection, elegant pieces of jewellery, high-quality spectacles, perfumes or the keys to an exclusive vehicle fleet: in the LEVITA Gravity Display, accessories are presented in a spectacular new way. No-one knows exactly how it works, this magical flying of objects. Because of course the principle of the technology is a closely guarded secret – as is customary with magicians. This makes it even more fascinating standing in front of the 'shop windows' that outwit the force of gravity and steal the show from all the conventional display cabinets, no matter how elegantly they are made. The continually moving objects draw all eyes towards them from the very first moment, revealing themselves from ever new perspectives. You can adapt the direction of the movement, path and speed completely to your own personal preferences. Naturally, LEVITA also incorporates the aspect of practical functionality: at any point you can slide the glass front to the side and take out one of the objects, without this changing anything for the other objects in the cabinet. They continue to float unfazed in the weightless space. It is important to mention that the technology is not based on electromagnetism, which means sensitive technical accessories such as automatic watches can be placed here too. You either place your exhibition pieces inside the freestanding model 'The Cute', in which the cabinet is supported by a column or placed on top of existing furniture, or inside the somewhat larger display 'The Box', which is built into the wall. When it comes to the design of the backgrounds, colours and surfaces, both models are entirely flexible depending on the individual wishes of the customer. And by the way, you will be in good company with such an unusual display: luxury brands such as Dior or Sotheby’s auctioneers already use the LEVITA Creative Display.
